Circuit Clerk's Office
Child Support Division
Each year the Circuit Clerk's office is required to charge an annual fee to keep the child support records of all the payments made that go through the SDU.
The Annual clerk's fee is $36.00 per year and is set by state statute 705 ILCS 105/27.1(u)(3). You may make your Annual Clerk's Fee payment using your credit card, by going to Court Payments Online. Reminder notices are sent out each year to the last known address of each payor. The reminder notice is for the preceding year. Example: notices sent the beginning of 2004 were for clerks fees for 2003. It is very important to keep our office notified of your current address so this reminder card goes to the appropriate address.
Annual Clerk fees are due now for the year ending 2012. Please remit payment as soon as possible to avoid any further collection action.
It is the responsibility of the payor to keep our office notified of any address changes. Even though you make your payments to the State Disbursement Unit you still are required to pay your annual clerk's fees to our office.
The Circuit Clerk's office maintains the records and the State Disbursement Unit processes the payments.
If you require records for court or for tax purposes it would be the records of the Circuit Clerk that you would need.
If you have questions regarding these fees please contact our office by phone at (309) 558-3536 or by e-mail .
