708 Mental Health Board
Board Function And Mission
The Rock Island County 708 Mental Health Board was established in 1976 as a result of the community Mental Health Act introduced by the Illinois House Bill 708. The bill enables the county to collect and allocate revenue for mental health, substance abuse and developmental disabilities services for Rock Island County Citizens. 708 Board consists of nine members.
By promoting a full array of coordinated mental health, developmental disability and substance abuse services for all residents of Rock Island County.
By providing leadership of a coordinated services system with on going communications among providers, recipients and citizens.
By conducting the business of the board with integrity, with social responsibility, and in the best interest of the citizens and taxpayers of rock Island County.
To improve reporting mechanisms to better reflect accountability of funded service providers in regard to fiscal responsibility.
