Disaster Area Reassessments
As of February 16, 2021, Governor Pritzker declared Rock Island County a disaster area due to structural damage from winter storms causing large snow accumulations, frigid temperatures and bitter cold wind chill temperatures of 20 to 30 below zero. Every county which has been declared a major disaster area shall, upon application by the property owner, make a reassessment of any taxable property, which was substantially damaged by the disaster.
