Real Estate Tax Bills

Louisa A. Ewert, Rock Island County Treasurer, announces that 62,660 Rock Island County Real Estate tax bills were mailed on Tuesday, May 19th, 2020 totaling more than $266,807,907.36 to be collected. Due dates are June 17th, August 17th, September 17th and November 17th. Due to COVID-19 Rock Island County offices are not open to the public at this time.  Learn more...

The Fourteenth Judicial Circuit Courthouses remain open with precautions being taken in response to COVID-19. Covid-19 Media Release In an effort to significantly reduce the number of persons gathering at the courthouse, numerous court hearings are being rescheduled to a date later in May.

Chief Judge Walter D. Braud and NBC newsman Lester Holt appear in a Video, “YOU THE JUROR”. This Video was made in a Justice Center Courtroom in Rock Island County on Christmas Eve, 2017. Jury Service is a privilege and high honor. The purpose of this Video is to help Jurors understand their duties and Court proceedings. The 14th Judicial Circuit has the Illinois Counties of Henry, Mercer, Rock Island and Whiteside. 300,000 people strong, our 22 Judges handle 50,000 cases per year. Many are jury trials.
